Dr. Silvia Kurtovic is a board-certified plastic surgeon and one of the few female surgeons in Arizona who is both a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is also fellowship-trained in cosmetic surgery and microsurgical (DIEP flap) breast reconstruction. Known for her compassionate approach and exceptional, natural-looking results, Dr. Kurtovic quickly became a sought-after surgeon in Tucson after building her initial private practice in Austin, Texas. Behind the Scenes With Dr. Kurtovic

Dr. Kurtovic has a passion for wellness and believes in the power of merging elements of Eastern and Western medicine to optimize whole-body healing. As a Reiki Master, she understands the profound impact of energy work on the body’s ability to restore itself. She has also completed 120 hours of advanced training in Craniosacral Work with a Biodynamic Perspective, which has deepened her understanding of how subtle, hands-on techniques can release tension, enhance vitality, and support the body’s innate healing intelligence.

In her free time, Dr. Kurtovic loves spending time with her family and watching her daughter grow and discover joy in the simple things in life. She enjoys connecting with the stillness in nature and practices Iyengar yoga and mindfulness as much as possible.

I love supporting women throughout their healing journeys and feel honored to be a part of their transformations as they rediscover the beauty and light within their bodies after surgery.

Education and Training

Dr. Kurtovic was raised in Southern California and graduated with honors from UCLA in Physiological Sciences. After earning her medical degree in New York, she undertook ten years of advanced surgical training at top institutions across North America. Her general surgery residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles was followed by her plastic surgery residency at Duke University. Thereafter, she pursued two additional fellowships in microsurgery and cosmetic surgery in Canada.
