Before + Afters
Patient Results
The breasts are a fundamental component of feminine beauty and we offer a variety of procedures to lift, enhance, or reduce the breasts. Every procedure is customized to your individual needs. Our plastic surgeons are also skilled in gynecomastia surgery for men and reconstructive surgeries for patients of all genders.
Complex Breast Revision Procedure
The procedure will differ depending on the type of revision that needs to take place. Some of the most popular reasons for revision include:
Modifying Existing Breast Implants
For patients who would like to change the size of their existing implants or remove their implants completely, the existing incision sites can usually be reused. This prevents the creation of more incisions, and therefore, scars. Many patients undergo this procedure to exchange or remove their existing implants due to rupture or leakage.
During this procedure, the broken or leaking implant is removed, and any saline or silicone gel that remains in the body will be removed as well. Then, a new implant will be placed inside of the breast and sutures will close up the incision.
Correcting Capsular Contracture
Capsular contracture occurs when scar tissue forms around the breast implant due to an immune system response to a foreign material (the breast implant) in the body. This capsule can tighten and squeeze the implant, leading to distortion of the breast, as well as discomfort. During this procedure, the existing implant, scar tissue, and capsule will be removed and new implants will be placed.
Changing Nipple or Areola Positioning
Sometimes, the nipple and areola can change due to complications from a previous surgery. During this procedure, the nipple and areola will be repositioned to the correct spot and centered correctly for a natural-looking result.
