While the same facial rejuvenation and facial sculpting procedures available to women are also available to male patients, facial surgery on men has very different goals. The techniques for surgery are altered to accommodate straighter, stronger, more angular facial features. The surgical plan is bespoke and great care is taken to ensure that you still look like yourself and not overdone.
The neck area is a common site for aging skin and wrinkling to appear. Men who want to address their neck area can benefit from neck lift surgery at Tucson Plastic Surgery. This surgery can address aging, damaged, and loose skin on the neck by giving you a more sculpted and youthful appearance.
What is a Neck Lift?
A neck lift is a surgical procedure that addresses excess fat under the chin, causing a double chin, sagging skin, jowls, loose skin, and muscle banding on the neck.
A neck lift procedure is commonly performed alongside a facelift since the skin ages as one. This allows for more balanced results and enhances your youthful look. Patients can also opt to receive liposuction, an eyelid lift, a brow lift, or skin resurfacing treatment with their neck lift.
Who is a Good Candidate for a Neck Lift?
Men who wish to rejuvenate their appearance can benefit from a male neck lift. This treatment can address a double chin, jowls, and sagging skin. Ideal candidates for the neck lift procedure should be in good overall health, non-smokers, and have realistic expectations of their surgery outcomes. To determine whether you are an ideal candidate for a men’s neck lift procedure, consult with one of our highly skilled plastic surgeons at Tucson Plastic Surgery.

BEFORE & AFTER GALLERYNeck Lift Surgery
At Tucson Plastic Surgery, we utilize two neck lift techniques. These include the traditional neck lift and the limited incision neck lift. Both procedures are performed under general anesthesia to help you maintain comfort during your surgery.
Traditional Neck Lift
During the traditional neck lift surgery, an incision will be made in the hairline near the sideburn area. This incision will continue around the ear, ending at your lower hairline. Dr. Mahabir will use your incision to redistribute and sculpt fat from the neck and jowls. The skin will be carefully stretched, and excess skin will be removed. Patients may also receive another incision under the chin if they decide to receive liposuction in the chin and repair of their neck muscles.
Limited Incision Neck Lift
During the limited incision neck lift, incisions will be made only around the ears. This technique is ideal for individuals with less sagging and excess fat.
Recovery Process
Neck Lift Recovery
*4-6 Weeks
Your neck lift procedure will involve several weeks of recovery. After your procedure, you will be sent home with a drain to help remove any excess fluid or blood from the treatment area. You can expect to temporarily feel pain, discomfort, bruising, and swelling as you heal. To reduce swelling, you must keep your head elevated. You should not apply ice to the skin as this can reduce blood flow to the area. It can take several weeks to months for your final results to emerge. You must wear sunscreen and maintain a healthy diet after your procedure to ensure long-lasting results.
